Rachel Dukes, Community Engagement Specialist

Rachel Dukes was born and raised in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. When she was 19, she went to a church camp called Hashawha in Westminster, Maryland, to hear her Grand-D, a Bible teacher, speak. That weekend, she met her future husband there, who was with his church, and 11 months later, they were walking down the aisle! Rachel and TJ have been married for almost 16 years and have three children: Natalee, Emilee, and Aaron.

Rachel has always had a heart for missions and community. She owned her own primitive store for 2 years while her children were younger. In 2019, due to finances, she decided to close her shop and look for a steady full-time job, where she found Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A Seaford has been her heart and passion for 5 years. In her position, she planned many community events and served her community by handing out chicken sandwiches. That position sparked a passion even more for loving the people around her in every capacity.

When the position at The Bridge became available, she decided that this job would combine her heart and passion for loving people and Jesus in a large capacity! She is excited to be able to reach others with the Good News of Jesus in this new position!

Some fun facts about Rachel are that she is an old soul. Her favorite TV show is Little House on the Prairie. She collects memorabilia and will attend a 50-year reunion to meet the cast in September 2024! She is also an avid collector of primitives and antiques. In her free time, you can often find Rachel in antique shops and at yard sales!
