Local Matters

God never meant for us to live life alone. I'm Denise Harper, co-host of The Morning Show and Program Director at The Bridge, and I am also a listener. I love how The Bridge is deeply connected to the area in which I live. I’ve witnessed first-hand the power of connection and the beauty of community.

My friend shared this text she received from someone she invited to a Bridge event more than a year ago.

“When my faith faltered, you found a team to pray for me. When you invited me to the Cade Thompson concert, you’ll never understand how much it healed me.

This is something I don’t like to admit, but the night you invited me to the concert, I was struggling with suicidal thoughts and felt totally overwhelmed.

That night saved me. I likely wouldn't be here if it hadn’t been for you. I wouldn’t have gone to church. I wouldn’t have grown in my faith. I wouldn’t have met all the amazing people that I did at our church…”
