Most of us pack our bags for exciting trips. Not Charlotte and her teenage son. Four big suitcases held all they owned. They were homeless when they met Denise Harper and started a friendship.

Charlotte is a loyal listener who keeps in touch by text. She updated The Morning Show on her situation. Sleeping wherever they could find a couch or floor. Night after night, God provided a place for them, but it was a struggle. Denise continued to pray for her and offer encouragement.

In time, God gave Charlotte a good job. He provided her hope that a place of their own was possible. And one day she called The Bridge excited to tell Denise that God supplied a beautiful home - right on a lake! The owner planned to sell, but heard Charlotte’s story and offered to rent to her instead. They praised God together that day.

Charlotte heard The Bridge ask for suitcases to carry supplies to the adopted village La Union Abajo in the Dominican Republic. She texted Denise right away to say she had something special to donate for the mission trip. The next day, two big suitcases were on the front step with a note that read:

I’m not homeless anymore. God maintains and showed up BIG!
Please use these suitcases to help. Thanks for always being
a text or call away, offering a prayer and always...

Denise wept right there. And still tears up thinking of the strong mom who carried all she owned in those suitcases from place to place. She hoped, prayed, and trusted God for His provision.

Those suitcases held Charlotte’s few belongings, her hopes for a future, and supplies for a distant family in extreme poverty, trusting God with tomorrow. It’s just like God to weave together such an amazing story.
