Do you think you can write the best Holiday short story? Come to the Greenwood Public Library on Saturday December 21st at 12:30pm to find out at the Holiday Short Story Contest! Open to teens 12-18. Stories should be between 1000 and 3000 words, or approximately 3-10 pages. Writing materials and guidance will be available from 12:30pm to 2:30pm in the meeting room. Stories turned in after the program can be brought into the library or emailed to andrew.knestaut@sussexcountyde.gov. Deadline for submission is Tuesday, December 31st at 4PM. Stories may also be turned in as much as two days before the program. Prize for best story! This program is designed to promote writing and literacy in a supportive and welcoming environment and to build community among local writers.
