This conference is a response to youth voices seeking to understand the traumatic events which continue to occur in our communities. leaders as change agents!

Local youth were asked what they needed to help them deal with the violence that continues to manifest in our neighborhoods. Workshops were designed to offer them leadership and life skills workshops to help them navigate life - from handling stressors to discovering who they really are. The focus is training leaders to voice their concerns to parents and significant adults, as well as role model what they want to see in their communities. In short, to be advocates for one another as change agents and supporters.
Parent workshops are offered to inform them of the problem of human trafficking and to offer resources and support to reclaim their parent power!
Parent and student workshops are held separately, with the hope that daily two-way communication will develop and become a norm in every household.
